The Supreme ‘Quota’
So, the Supreme Court has decided something yet again, 27% of the seats have to be reserved for the “backward” people in educational institutes, including IITs. So those people who love to study and get good marks on their merit, basically get lesser seats, because we want to help the ‘backward’ people. And that’s because we care about them so much, :)
Do you seriously think anybody cares for anybody in this “system”? It’s like a wrestling match, each man for himself. Now see, the person who brought this up at Lok Sabha, just like Sonia Gandhi will expect a lot of votes for his party, because the people think Indians are a bunch of retards [(Not that I am denying it) People here = Politicians] and we cannot see through them, specially during the ‘election time’, they smile and throw around speeches, half of them not even knowing what they are saying. The people get swayed and they vote, and yes, I have previously ranted about that, but what the hell.
So the quota is basically a bad thing for all those people who don’t belong to some kind of tribe/backward class, and its a good news for all those people who can’t even study, but will still be given admission to IITs and whatnots, so hurray to them!
And sure, people will benefit, but that doesn’t mean I can’t be against it, even though I got admission in my college through the Sindhi quota -__- I still don’t really find the 27% reservation for OBCs very ‘nice’.
Oh yeah, ‘they’ say, this how we make things equal, well then, if you do want to make things equal, treat everyone the same way. So when are they making a quota for people who are not under the OBCs? Bah.

Nice post, won’t appeal to many people though, and I am seeing less and lesser comments on your blog, why so?
By Punit on Apr 19, 2008
I know, it won’t appeal to anyone, plus people, I think are just lazy, or my writing skills suck :(
And if by chance it does appeal to some people, they won’t comment, like always :)

Hiya bub. nice rant. I like the way your post looks at the world in black and white. It would be better that way. no f%$^% shades of grey lol keep it comin.
By HKT on Apr 19, 2008
I likes. :D
Maybe the people belonging to the rest of the castes (the ones which won’t be getting any reservation whatsoever) should get down to the streets and demand for reserved seats.
But then again, that won’t change anything, would it? I think not.
By fragilesilence on Apr 19, 2008
@HKT : Thanks man, appreciate the comment, keep reading :)
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 19, 2008
@Tamanna : Dude, that’s what I was trying to say, that this isn’t equality, there are more castes/creeds then the seats which can be given to each of them, getting a seat on merit, is how it should work.
It wouldn’t make a difference, at the most a civil war could break out.
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 19, 2008
Well, I for one am too lazy to comment within 24 hours of the post breaking out. And I told you, the main comment-killer is the ‘personal feel’ to it. It should have a distinctive one.
Anyways, on the topic. Like I said, ‘green paper’s worth more than fuckin’ sense’ … if the politicians started resorting to sense, that would give their single gray-cell containing brains a pretty sweet headache. If obviously they are willing to ‘help the backward people’, why don’t they strengthen their primary education? Why don’t they help them at the grassroots? Why do when they go abroad for medical assistance when they have some problems? It’s too much work now, isn’t it?
And even a Civil War won’t help. ’cause this is a Democracy and people are too politically correct to realize just how disgusting the very concept of quotas is anyways. They’re fine with a lady getting a job ’cause she has a pussy but not fine with letting her go through a proper education which would make her eligible for a job. Just like how they’re fine with the racket of sex and money under the name of ‘Arranged Marriages’ but aren’t fine with the best thing in the world, love.
By AnarchoAtheist on Apr 19, 2008
Ooooh, they did strengthen the Elementary Education system.
…By providing free meals.
By fragilesilence on Apr 19, 2008
And Civil War?
At least we’d go down in History. XD
Okay, nevermind. -.-

As always I agree.
If obviously they are willing to ‘help the backward people’, why don’t they strengthen their primary education?
Because they want votes and not educated people! As you very well know XD
They’re fine with a lady getting a job ’cause she has a pussy but not fine with letting her go through a proper education which would make her eligible for a job.
And here I was thinking a lady can get her job because she has boobs, but I guess you are right, as even men can have boobs o_0

Arranged marriage, is a good topic to rant about, heck even till date the richest Sindhi’s, ask for money indirectly or even directly. People don’t want to believe in love because they know in a love marriage, they won’t get a penny, and according to our ‘k3wl Youngistaani’ parents we cannot make decisions.

@ Fragile Silence
We might go down in History, but I don’t think Human race has much time on Earth, there won’t be anyone to read our history. :P
@ The Drunk Santa
Oh yeah, they do not want educated people. I forgot. -_- I know, I mean fuck, I think after Parsi’s, Sindhi’s are the richest community, still I do not know one marriage which went down without an iota of dowry. -_-

@Falak’s response to Queen : ROFLMAOLOL!
They are yeah, same, I don’t either

This is one of the reasons, I prefer the American education system :D
By Shrai on Apr 20, 2008
@Shrai : Ask an American about their educational system, and they will give you the stink eye, I know their system, heck I have been a part of it. I, however, don’t know about the quota system there, I doubt there is any.
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 20, 2008
I am guessing, they don’t have a quota system, nobody goes to college there anyway.
By Shrai on Apr 20, 2008
True, the dropout rate is quite high, but India is going on the same road anyway.
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 20, 2008
India? Same road? Will we have pregnant girls and cool sweatshirts and cheerleaders in our government aided high schools too? xD
By Shrai on Apr 21, 2008
Why the change of theme by the by?
By Shrai on Apr 21, 2008
I knew that was coming, I guess the transformation will take place soon, its getting there, let India shine!
I like changes.
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 21, 2008
Some schools have Cheerleaders and cool sweatshirts and secretly pregnant girls.
A step forward.
By fragilesilence on Apr 21, 2008
Government aided schools?
By The Drunk Santa on Apr 22, 2008
Yes, our village has some ub3r k3wl Government-aided Schools.

Cheerleaders will take some time. As it’s ‘defaming the women’ … now what the fuck can the males do living in a society where sex is suppressed since the start and stereotypes are so fuckin’ prevalent?
[Read the newspapers. Cheerleaders in IPL matches will soon be sent back home, I guess. XD]
[No, I am not advocating it. If you look at it, more than half the population of a country just can't be mentally retarded at the same time, right?]

That seriously takes me back to the ’sexual education’ class we had (3 lectures, I bunked 1) Anyway, the ‘teacher’ was talking about a penis. Soon, many Muslim’s actually walked out of the class, because it just too much for them to take, while the people belonging to the Hindu religion were probably getting an erection looking at the boobs of a 47 year old woman. I know it’s off topic but wth XD

Seriously? The TRP is gonna drop like the stock markets do when Oil prices are up :|

She’ll obviously hate anyone and everyone who is taking away her spotlight. XD Although, it’s completely justified since they all look so much better than that ugly whore.
